Oriscience Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail 2 (100× in DMSO) is a mixture of 3 phosphatase inhibitors: (-)-p-Bromotetramisole oxalate, Cantharidin and Calyculin A. It can effectively inhibit serine/threonine phosphatases and alkaline phosphatases, and is used to maintain the phosphorylation state of proteins.
This product can be used for a variety of analyses such as protein immunoassay (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP), pull-down, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), kinase studies, etc.
Cell or tissue extracts and other samples contain many endogenous protein phosphatases, which can catalyze the dephosphorylation of phosphorylated proteins in the extracts, which is not conducive to the study of phosphorylation differences under physiological and pathological conditions. Therefore, adding appropriate phosphatase inhibitors to extracts and other samples is an effective way to inhibit protein dephosphorylation.
