RIPA Cell and Tissue Lysis Buffer (Set)

3×50 mL
RIPA lysis buffer is a classic rapid cell and tissue lysis buffer. Its name "RIPA" comes from Radio Immunoprecipitation Assay, and it is primarily used for extracting soluble proteins from animal cells and tissues. This lysis buffer is available in various formulations, generally categorized into strong, medium, and weak types based on lysis strength. For general Western lysis and IP, RIPA tissue/cell lysis buffer (medium) is recommended. After lysing cells or tissues, it does not form highly viscous, transparent DNA clumps, facilitating subsequent operations. For certain specific proteins in IP, CO-IP can use a milder lysis buffer such as RIPA tissue/cell lysis buffer (weak). If RIPA tissue/cell lysis buffer (medium) is not found to be ideal, a stronger lysis buffer, such as RIPA lysis buffer (strong), can be tried.
The RIPA tissue/cell lysis buffer (kit) contains 50 mL each of RIPA tissue/cell lysis buffer (strong), RIPA tissue/cell lysis buffer (medium), and RIPA tissue/cell lysis buffer (weak), allowing for exploration of different experimental conditions. This product contains the metal ion chelating agent EDTA, but does not contain broad-spectrum protease inhibitors. Users can add PMSF, protease inhibitors, or phosphatase inhibitors as needed for their experiments.
